Job Description

Work with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Involved in all phases of the full systems life cycle.  Responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications and systems software. 

The Healthcare Workflow Solutions group is looking for an experienced SQL Database Developer to join our team.  The developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated data processing and automated print composition workflows.

Business problem solving is a core function of this role, requiring the ability to take ambiguous and complex business problems  and using discovery and assessment capabilities, define and implement the needed solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build automated data processing and composition workflows utilizing technologies built on XML, XSLT, and MS SQL.
• Analyze business requirements documents, recommend solutions, and implements data driven workflows on our workflow development platform. 
• Develops unit test and test scripts; performs unit, regression, conversion and parallel tests; develops system test data and performs system tests. 
• Independently analyze and document test results to ensure that programs are meeting the technical requirements. 
• Research and resolve complex programming issues and implement longer term solutions to frequently occurring issues. 
• Conveys problems, solutions, updates and project status to peers, customers and management.  
• Prepare time estimates for assigned tasks. Attend pre and  post-implementation reviews.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• Technical Support: Research and resolve complex programming issues and implement longer-term solutions to frequently occurring issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering with 3+ years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience in writing complex SQL stored procedures and Functions.
• Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.   
• Able to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed.
• Understanding or Print technologies and manufacturing practices is a plus
• Experience with XSLT is a plus
• Experience in developing C# windows forms and/or C# windows services based on Individual solution requirements are a plus.
• Experience with PDF & Postscript manipulation is a plus.

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $62,800 to $111,400 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
